The Imperial War Museum is a major London attraction, welcoming almost 250,000 visitors a year to its south London location. When the decision was taken to upgrade its legacy BMS controls – consisting of approximately 4000 i/o points – Syscom were called upon to deliver a new solution.

The BMS fitout included the integration of a new management control system with existing outstations via site IT infrastructure (AAM/AutoPilot to Tridium JACE/AX). Syscom also undertook a complete upgrade of main network controllers and head end software with access via the internet.

The Imperial War Museum is open seven days a week and it was important that this remained the case while the work was being carried out. Syscom were able to ensure this happened throughout the four-month project.
