Established in 1998, Syscom Building Management Ltd creates tailored and custom-made solutions in the engineering, software, commissioning and maintenance of Building Energy Management Systems (BMS, BEMS).

History

Soon after its incorporation in Teddington, London, Syscom became the main UK installer and service partner for American AutoMatrix. This started a trend and over the next few years the company became an Automated Logic Partner, Trend Systems Integrator and IBM Approved Supplier to name just a few. In 2003 it gained Safe Contractor Accreditation and later became an NICEIC Approved Electrical Installer. Further partnerships and accreditations have followed and in October 2018 Syscom celebrated its 20th anniversary.

Leadership

Lee Russell - Managing Director

Lee joined Syscom in 2005 and has been Managing Director since 2014. He has 28+ years experience in the BMS Controls industry, starting his career with Landis & Gyr in 1990 and with a short stint at Trend/Honeywell prior to joining Syscom. With a wealth of industry knowledge, commercial skills & experience, Lee is passionate about Syscom delivering a first class service for our projects, maintenance and energy solutions.

Chris Welch - Operations Director

Chris has been with Syscom since 2006 when he joined as Operations Manager; he became a Director in 2011. He has been in the industry for many years, beginning as an apprentice at Landis & Gyr before spending 23 years at Siemens. During this time he worked on numerous prestigious projects, including as Design Manager for MOD Whitehall, a £9m project, and project managing jobs ranging from £900,000 to £4m.

John Mooney - Commercial Director

John joined Syscom is July 2007 as Group Commercial Manager and has been Commercial Director since July 2015.

He has over 40 years of experience in the BMS Controls industry, starting his career with Johnson Controls in 1974 and holding various positions within Satchwell, Staefa and Siemens  prior to joining Syscom.

John has a wealth of industry knowledge and experience, during his career he has been employed in pretty much every position there is within the BMS industry.

John is extremely passionate about Syscom, our reputation within the BMS industry, and of course our valued client base; his drive and determination ensure that Syscom provides a first-class service delivery with enhanced customer satisfaction.
