Department for Transport

Based at Great Minster House in London, the Department for Transport is the UK government department responsible for the English transport network, employing around 2000 people.

In 2010, the Edwardian building underwent a major floor and terminal unit refurbishment including the installation of new VAV units and the refurbishment of existing ones alongside the upgrading of the BMS system.

Syscom installed terminal units in five floors across two cores of the building as well as upgrading the Siemens AS1000 and Pronto to PXC/RXL and Desigo Insight Version. The system was then integrated into the existing Desigo system. As staff remained in the building while work was carried out, Syscom ensured comfort and critical control conditions were maintained at all times.
