In recent years, the area around King’s Cross station in London has undergone a major redevelopment, with industrial wasteland making way for homes, offices, shops and leisure facilities. Some fifty new buildings were introduced to the area, including 6 St Pancras Square, a 371,000 square feet, 11-storey office space which has been leased to Google.

The internet giant spared no expense in fitting the site out to their high standards, opting to offer a gym, restaurants, meeting rooms and the 20,000 square foot YouTube Space, which includes three soundproof studios, editing suites and a store for YouTubers to sell their merchandise.

6 St Pancras Square also required a complete BMS fitout, including a new HVAC plant, and it is here that Syscom stepped in. Syscom integrated a new management control system with Shell and Core existing outstations via the new site IT infrastructure, as well as integrating high level interfaces to various building control systems, including chillers, boilers, inverters and metering. Trend and Delta BMS systems were chosen.
